UMEJI SASAKI
Sankodo’s founder is the grandfather of the current president of the company. Umeji Sasaki started sourcing medicinal herbs to cure his family members who suffer from skin disorders.
After many trials and errors he created a curing lotion.
The impressive results of the lotion became first known among the neighbors, and the medicinal solution was given the name of “extraordinary water“.

A “MIRACULOUS” WATER
Eau de Ki is produced by using a unique traditional Japanese ritual: for over six months, 8 Asian medicinal ingredients (jujube, ginseng, umbrella polypore, reishi, lili of the valley roots, cnidium rhizome, Chinese peony, mandarin peel) and 4 Western aromatic plants (rose water, rosemary, white birch and linden) are infused in special earthenware jars called Nanbangame.
During the maturation process of Eau de Ki, the quintessence of each of these ancestral ingredients mixes together to create a powerful synergy.
